Every project stems from an ongoing dialogue between technical expertise and vision, where an in-depth knowledge of materials translates into bespoke, durable solutions that are consistent with the identity of each setting, making leather an integral part of the space.
A notable example is the project created for the Museo Civico di Bassano del Grappa, which involved the creation of a new permanent exhibition designed by architect Ravalli.
Real Piel developed a bespoke version of the Panka, adapted to the large scale of the space and precisely adjusted in height using custom-designed adjustable feet, allowing it to integrate seamlessly with the museum’s uneven floor.

UARP – Unique Art Real Piel is an exclusive Real Piel project that brings together selected artists to create unique design pieces.
These creations, while conceived as furnishing pieces, become true works of art, perfectly suited to Contract and Hospitality projects with dedicated art budgets.
This edition features artist Fabio Baggio, known as Bajo, who has transformed our OHR lounge armchair into a unique work of art, with customised shells that tell stories and evoke emotions through colour and form.

UARP - Unique Art Real Piel
When an object ceases to be just an object, it can begin to tell a different story.
UARP – Unique Art Real Piel was born from the encounter between Real Piel’s craftsmanship and the freedom of artistic exploration. An open-ended project that invites artists and creatives to engage with materials, forms, surfaces and expertise from the world of design and furniture, taking them into new territories.
The idea is simple: to make Real Piel’s know-how available to those who imagine something that does not yet exist.
Art enters the process
Leather, fabric, wood, metal, upholstery, craftsmanship and forms conceived for living spaces can all become materials for artistic experimentation. Not simply surfaces to decorate, but starting points to work on, leave a mark on and approach from a new perspective.
UARP creates a space for dialogue between two different approaches to design. On one side are Real Piel’s knowledge of materials, craftsmanship and manufacturing expertise; on the other, the artist’s individual vision. It is precisely in the distance between these two worlds that the project finds its potential.
Each collaboration can therefore take a different direction. It may begin with a Real Piel product and transform it, explore a material in an unexpected way, or lead to the creation of a unique piece conceived specifically through the encounter with an artist.
The Collection
An ever-evolving collection
UARP does not seek to define the outcome in advance. Instead, it creates the conditions for something new to happen.
For Real Piel, this means opening up its wealth of materials and expertise to different forms of expression. For artists, it is an opportunity to take their practice beyond its usual media, engaging with materiality, three-dimensionality and objects that physically become part of people’s lives and spaces.
The result may be an artwork, an object, a limited edition or an experiment. What matters is that it carries the imprint of both: the artist’s identity and Real Piel’s manufacturing expertise.
And this is precisely why UARP is, by its very nature, a project designed to keep evolving.
UARP collaborations
The first chapters of the project found in the OHR lounge chair a three-dimensional canvas on which to explore different artistic languages.
Fabio Baggio, aka Bajo, reinterpreted its shell through his own artistic universe, transforming the product into a unique piece.
With Fabio Basso, meanwhile, the landscape of the Veneto region found its way onto the OHR: woodlands, countryside, the springs of the River Sile, snowfall, blossoms and reflections on water. The surface of the chair becomes a pictorial space, bringing into the object the sensitivity of his artistic exploration of landscape and nature.
Different experiences, united by the same question: what can a product become when it is entrusted to an artist’s vision?
UARP intends to keep finding out.
The next encounter may begin with another artwork, another material, another idea.
Real Piel provides its know-how. Artists are given the opportunity to take it somewhere new.
