Bacara is a sophisticated flame-retardant velvet, enhanced by a geometric pattern inspired by the elegance of Art Deco. The distinctive direction of the pile creates a dynamic surface that changes appearance with the light, adding depth and richness of colour.

Soft to the touch and highly durable, it is designed for seating, upholstered furniture, and furnishing accessories in both high-end residential interiors and Contract, Hospitality, and marine environments, where aesthetics and performance must coexist in perfect balance.

Made from 100% flame-retardant polyester, Bacara combines the softness and tactile appeal of velvet with excellent resistance to everyday wear, tested to 80,000 Martindale cycles, making it suitable even for high-traffic applications. Its high-quality construction also ensures stability, durability, and an excellent appearance over time.

Made in Germany, the fabric meets numerous international fire safety standards, including Italian Class 1, BS 5852, BS 5867, IMO MED, NFPA 260, and California TB117. It is also OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and GREENGUARD certified, ensuring material quality and low emissions in indoor environments.

Care and Cleaning

To preserve the velvet’s softness, we recommend periodically removing dust using a low-power vacuum cleaner fitted with an upholstery brush attachment.

Any stains should be treated promptly by gently blotting with a soft cloth, avoiding rubbing the fabric pile.

Bacara can be washed at 30°C on a delicate cycle and is suitable for dry cleaning according to the instructions provided on the care label. Over time or after being rolled, the velvet pile may become temporarily flattened: gentle steaming from a distance followed by light brushing will help restore its original appearance. Avoid using bleach, tumble dryers, and high-speed spin cycles.
